“What do we want to walk out of this with that we don’t have right now?”
This was the question a friend’s husband asked his family last week when the brutal reality of the coronavirus was landing on the world with a thud.
When I first heard it, I thought to myself: What a beautiful question ALL of us could be asking ourselves right now.
So, in light of the fact that the world is shaken up, I thought I, too, would shake things up and do something different this week. (Just what you need, a little more change, right?)
Instead of me writing about how I’d answer this question, I want to invite YOU to share your answer with me. (keep reading to see why.)
Ready?
Take a few minutes and answer the question:
1) What do I want to walk out of this with that I don’t have right now?
2) Get quiet and really listen to what emerges. Write it down.
3) Send me your response by replying directly to this email. (I’m the only one will read it so please share freely.)
Once I hear back from you, I’ll compile everyone’s responses and share them (anonymously, of course) in next week’s Annie Bite.
This is a simple way to help you bring clarity and focus to how you want to spend your next weeks (er, uh, months?). It’s also a meaningful way to learn what matters to your fellow humans right now.
The bonus? Chances are good you’ll look at the list of responses and be inspired to add something to your own. (After all, we learn best when we’re in community so be sure to participate and send in your part!)
Let’s do what we can to help each other walk through this unsettled time. With intention and support, we can each be stronger and feel more resourced on the other side.
I can’t wait to hear from you. Xo
